Dr. (Amb.) Olusola Ilesanmi Owomoyela, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Next Gear Group (nextgearng.com), is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse range of expertise in law, real estate development, and humanitarian work. Born and raised in Nigeria, he has made significant contributions to various fields throughout his career. Dr. Owomoyela completed his undergraduate studies at Obafemi Awolowo University in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. Following his passion for law, he joined the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in 2007, showcasing his commitment to the legal profession. In 2008, he commenced his legal career as an associate at Owolabi & Oyefeso Law Firm in Lagos, Nigeria. During this time, he gained valuable experience working on a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and corporate law. Fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Owomoyela entered the real estate development scene in 2014 by founding Next Gear Homes Limited. He currently leads the company as Group Managing Director. Under his leadership, Next Gear Homes has grown into a prominent real estate firm recognized for its dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
The company has established a strong presence across Nigeria, with headquarters and branch offices in Abuja, and additional branches in Lagos and Ibadan. Next Gear Homes’ portfolio extends beyond these core locations, with a subscriber base of over 3,500 and a commitment to expanding its reach within and outside Nigeria. In 2018, Dr. Owomoyela became a member of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), demonstrating his dedication to promoting professionalism and ethical practices in the real estate industry. In 2024, He became the legal advisor for the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), having shown exemplary service and leadership qualities within the association, boosting the relevance of the association by driving key engagements with public and private sectors. Dr. Olusola is a co-founder and currently serves as the President of Mercy Drops Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Abuja, Nigeria. Through Mercy Drops, he strives to provide humanitarian aid, healthcare services, and educational support to underprivileged individuals and communities
